Under Effective Technical Writing, students are expected to understand the process of writing technical research papers/ articles. The students are required to take up a topic of their choice and write a research paper/ article on the same using state-of-art document preparation software like Latex, overleaf, etc.
Students must be familiar with all primary international template styles of a research paper like IEEE, Springer, ACM, etc.
Students will also be taught various referencing formats (for example: APA). Research paper/ article writing is a must-have skill for future scientists & researchers, and it opens up their domain of knowledge. The research paper/article/proposal submitted by students will be checked for plagiarism. This will lead to the development of skills including proper paper format, proper referencing, inclusion of figures, tables, use of keywords, writing abstract, title etc.
